I forgot the general music term, arrgh I took music theory and I should know this, but anyhow
Are trance tunes generally major/harmonic minor/natural minor/ or melodic minor in characteristic? |

| Genreally written in minor, although the type of minor key varies from producer to producer. |

| the aesthetics of trance don't generally follow those conventions in a strict sense. you could say a melody is in a minor key but look at the chord progressions and it's not quite that...it follows more of a minimalist process of harmonic/melodic development that goes beyond strict key structuring. |
