well, as a kid, I always said I wanted to ge living in the States. You know, you see those perfect atmospheres on TV, the kids are never studying, always making fun. Well, first, as you get older, you realize that real life isn't that perfect. But most important of all, I just love the trance scene here in europa. People from the states are complaining in some threads here at one of the forums about the music in their regions. And actually, I can believe it, cause what's famous now at the moment in the states? R&B, garage stuff, rock, and further the usual pop stuff. Here it's also commercial stuff that's well known. But...the underground is so rish. You have trance, techno, gothic (like VNV nation). Also the parties in Europa are just amazing. Think if the 'man in the street' in the states would go to let's say Sensation 2001...well, I think he would rush away, thinking he arrived at the future :). So, I'd never move abroad. I'm now living in Belgium. Ok, Holland would be the only country I would move to, but oh, all the music they know in holland, is known here too, so ... And like I typed yesterday in another message...Universal Nation is a Belgian product, so no reason to complain here :). And ok, which country has the best DJ's, well my answer is exactly in what I replied on: it's the whole west-europe scene: UK, Holland, Germany, Belgium (sorry, the Flemisch part of Belgium, all what's Frensh here in Belgium comes ages after the flemisch part :) ).
And oh, I forgot Canada, seems like it's the only part of America that's evoluating in the right direction, if you talk about trance :).

Long live the trance, long live the trance community ...

Best DJs?? Well, if we're talking skills such as "Finding the most wornout track of the CD-collection", "Non-beat-matching", "Annoying MC'ing" and "only knowing the tracks on top 20" I would say Denmark.

Seriously, however, having heard unknown DJs in many parts of the world I don't think that there's any country with better DJs thatn other countries. Sure, if we're talking about biggest amount of *known* DJs the UK would take the crown, partly because of the invasion of Ibiza by the big UK-organisers and partly because club-culture is so widespread there. However, if we talk about the most popular DJs it would probably be the Netherlands because of Tiesto, Marco V, Armin Van Buuren etc. - at least most of the people here always mentions them as being favourites.

Are you kidding me??? England has a lot of great producers, Thrillseekers, Space Brothers, Trouser Enthusiasts, Skynet UK, Heliotropic etc.
Miss Proximus
and I can add to that:
are you kidding? italy with the best techno? man! I think you mean Germany: with masters such as Chris Liebing, Sven Vath, Johannes Heil etc etc!!

Paul Wilson
And also Safri Duo are from Denmark, not Holland. Plus how can you possibly list ATB as some of the best epic trance???
DJRavemonkey
kay first of where did this producing come from the subject title is the best DJ's.
Secondly i think that as strange as it sounds Sasha is from Wales but dont hold me to that.
And my opinion is that Holland has some the greatest DJ's but the UK has a lot more depth rather than just a few good one's. Italy has a load of great DJ's that are becoming better known too such as Mauro, Mario, Ricky Le Roy, Joy Kitikonti etc.
