They do, but I just don't think this event has enough value to make the $40+ worth it.

When I pay $30 for 8 hours of Barbara or 7 hours of Vath, I know I'm getting my money's worth! Mills will probably play 2 measely hours!

From what I hear, Mills is charging around $20,000 for a set, and I think it's in US, so the $50 is more than fair when there is no booze.
Boa fits around 1100-1200 max...

Also, I would expect 3-5 hrs since there aren't many other DJs on the bill like other events @ Boa where they've had TWO headliners, and for that money he better be playing more than 2 hrs or the club wouldn't bring him, knowing the furor the locals would bring upon them being new and all.

Unfortunately Mills is one of those guys that probably has so many ridiculous stipulations in his ryder that trying to 'make him' do anything is pretty much fruitless..

I wouldn't expect anything close to 5 hours.. I'm going with 2.
(for the record... PVD only played a 1.5 hour set, give or take a few min, when he played Aria last April.. uhhh... ??)

as for the price for 2 hours.. ya, it's pricey.. but I wouldn't base my decision on whether to go or not on it. Besides, luckily I have faith the residents will deliver bangin' tunes all night @ Aria.
Mills hasn't played here for about 5 years, and I wouldn't doubt it'd be somewhere close to that before we see him again. I'm going, I just dread how paaaaaaaaaaacked it is going to be.. ick

nothing new...lol

mills has always been a difficult person....then again 99% of detroit deejays have rediculous demands. If you want to see them all for free...DEMF is end of May.

FYI- Jeff Mills is contracted to play a minimum of 3 hours, and yes he is one of the most expensive DJ's, hence the cover - but well worth it!!!

I saw Mills in Miami on Sun at a FREE event at BED, he played from 10pm-4:45am, and I saw about 4-5 hrs of it. It was a great event! Glad I caught it for free, just in case I can't make it to this event. His style/ technique was definitely different, and he threw some surprize classics in his set. I took loads of pics without any complaints from him too. Not much there in terms of crowd interaction from him tho. Seems very involved in his work, which I can understand, seeing how fast he has to work.

Jeff Mills is gona be amazing!

Anyone complaining about the price doesn't belong at a great club like BOA.

You pay for what you get, and if you measure it out in the end, it's very worth it.

EXAMPLE: You can't go to Holt Renfrew and buy a GUCCI suit for 100 bucks.

DUHHHH!

There better be hot girls this time though:whip:

See you all there!
