i suppose i am trying to relive teh glorious past, but who remebers when Gaint rocked at Circus? that is the club that got me into teh whole scene, and i have to thank Mark Tabberner (Giant res) for so many good nites, openning up for other djs. i just dont think that any clubs right now can stack up to the old school Giant, and the LA scene as a whole dissapoints me now. i feel like LA is in a bit of a clubbin recession. what i mean is that i thought that the scene was ready to explode, but then it just fizzled....... and today, giant is like a dwarf compared to what it used to be.......
so i invite others to relive the past with me on this thread.... |

I wasn't into that scene back then. I just started about a year and 1/2 ago... thanks to Armen (DjR-man)!!!! He converted me!!!! hahah
Ya, I agree the scene in LA isn't all that. I've been to clubs in NY and Toronto. LA sucks ass in comparison. Same cheesy dj's booked here over and over again. It's rare that we get the dj's that I would like to see more often, or at all. I'm so bitter that other states get much more and better dj's than we do. :( |

we rock>? sweet.
i still think that la gets good bookings on a consistant basis.
i mean there arent many other cities in the us that pull this much talent to be honest. NYC/Chicago/and san fran maybe but the scene of quality trance as a whole is lacking in the us.
A for instance. Ferry played in sandiego last week and they pushed him into the back room while some local cheese tools manned the main room. |
