hello fellow TA´s, i want to change my sb live for a new sound card, im willing to spend up to 200 dollars, i think im going to buy the Midiman Audiophile 24/96... anyone knows where i can get it online at a good online store wich has ssl and all that for orders? (has to be in the US)
thanks:D
ps: do u think i made the right choice with the audiophile card?

I think these are sister companies related to guitar center..
www.musiciansfriend.com
www.zzounds.com

ebay.com doesnt have all the nifty features like ssl but U can find companies selling their products at very reasonable prices, lower than from a audio site like musiciansfriend.

An yes m-audio products are definately good, and ive seen some good ones on ebay, remember as I sed there are companies on ebay selling products, with very high feedback ratings so when buying from a company (you can tell in the description) dont be worried.

Search for audiophile on these forums, or m-audio.. you will find alot of posts relating to it.

hi rob, quick reply :)
i was just looking at zzounds, they seem to be reliable and they have good prices, 149 for the audiophile and a midi keyboard (controller) to add later is quite cheap, so i think i might get it there, do u know anyone who has ordered there?
thanks!

My brother ordered a guitar from there, and it was very professional, simple order form and delivery just like amazon and all those online stores.. but remmeber man u can get good products from ebay..

Doesnt look like there are that good of deals but in the future just check ebay, I know its good for hard synths..

You most likely will not have problems with zzsounds, or musiciansfriend.com
hey cheggy
zzounds is the bomb. great prices. If only they delivered outside of north america.

thanks, i think ill get it there
i checked your ebay link, and there are good deals but i dont want to take any risks. i would buy off ebay if u could go and meet the seller in person
rob: im downloading your song right now, ill post my comments later :)
btw, i have a small keyboard (like a little piano) and i want to start learning, do u know where can i get some music theory nfo(books, sites, etc) or tabs of songs to practise?

glad u liked the track, now for music theory/piano here are some sites i visit...

www.completechords.com really interesting, it goes in depth about why music sounds the way it does.

http://www.learnpianoonline.com/login.html good piano site to get started, has a few online free lessons..

http://www.musictheory.net/ good musical theory site, has good flash animations, I would personally recommend this site.

For learning songs I open a midi track in flstudio, and then learn the notes.. I dont think there are tabs for piano, basically its just reading sheet music..

Enjoy.

if there happens to be a Guitar Center store nearby you, go there to get that soundcard. I bought one last week and it was $139.99, $10 less than the online price.

i still have to sell my old sound blaster so i have time to check for more places to buy, but the price seems to be around 150 usd...
rob: what did u use to make that track?
aura: yes, ive tought about ebay, but there are so many scams these days, that i like buying off a known store or pay on delivery...
