what does it mean? its the number of letters in each of my names. how did i get it? pretty much what DJ Dawn said to do. I didn't want to run with just "DJ" because i wanted to produce as well and the prefix "DJ" i thought sounded too Playskool-ish... I wanted something that could be anything, something mysterious that no one knew what it was.... so voila!

I got my Dj name (Dj Dol-B) from a friend od mine..
Somehow it slipped from his mouth when he called me "Hey dolby, what`s up..." (after Dolby multisystem) and I liked it...

my dj name came from the quote in my sig. it's printed on the inside cover of The Sun Also Rises by hemingway above his excerpt from Ecclesiastes. hemingway expounded on this in his book A Movable Feast and he talks about how everyone is lost in their own generation and such. and i kind of feel like when i go to parties and stuff it's just a bunch of lost people all coming together and becoming one and that's why i've been going as lost in the party scene for a few years and so when i tried my hand at djing it just kind of carried with me. i still can't beatmatch though so i'm not much of a dj!

| i want to add that i think that a scene name must be sounds very good, but also when you see it. example, i think that DJ Pure is a ing good trance dj name, Pure is a word that sounds good and it's a beautiful word. Pure is also like trance music... and the other example is the german dj Tillman Uhrmacher, blaaa, that suck a**. it's ugly ! |
