What mixes are there of this track? I got the Humate mix about a week ago and was very dissapointed. Not enough vocals, and vocals are what you want it a Jan Johnston track!

Come on, post some opinions on this track!

LOL @ an impaitant Paul Wilson :)

There is another mix of Jan Johnston's "As the cracks appear" and thats the ( approiately enough for u Paul :) ) the Highland mix.
as well of course the Original mix.

As far as the vocals go, in the Humate mix there are none for the 1st 5 minutes 52 seconds, except for a sampled vocal that repeats for a while.
I do understand what u mean about the vocals, i found it hard to understand her singing in the humate mix. which lets this mix down big time
The music however is really nice in this mix.

In the Highland mix, there is again a sampled vocal, slightly different to the one in the humate mix, this runs thruout the whole mix, there are no vocals apart from the sample.
This mix IMHO is better than the Humate mix cos it does not contain any vocal lines as such.

At least in the original mix you can understand what she is singing :)

Peace :)

What's appropriate for me about that?

A Jan Johnston track isnt a good track without vocals IMO. The solar stone mix for "Love Will Come" would've been great, but instead it was good but the mix would've been great w/ her vocals.

Ex: Think of BT - Mercury And Solace, the track is great w/vocals but if you think about it, the vocals added a feeling to it that made it better. Just my opinion at least.

Havent heard this track yet, but when I hear it I will post a review

I did not take that as a "personal attack". I just asked whjy that name was appropriate for me. Scotland is not even known as the Highlands. The Scottish Highlands are far North, Fort William and places like that are in the Highlands. I live in the very South of Scotland so it's a long way from the Highlands.

Back to topic, regarding the Humate Mix I don't really like anything about it. I think the instrumental is bland and uninspiring, and the lack of vocals is terrible. Just my opinion!
