I just flipped on the radio cuz I was bored to one of the top 40 stations here in Albany, New York. Top 40 meaning all the out there such as the boy bands and talentless female singers. Anyway, they were playing 'sandstorm' and it reminded me how much I hate the radio. The reason being is that 'sandstorm' used to be an awesome song but then American Radio picks up on it and it becomes cheese. I believe 'sandstorm' had the potential to become a classic but instead it became 'cheese'. I now must completely stop listening to 'sandstorm'...I can't enjoy it knowing its on top 40 stations.

| songs can't just become cheese man. either they are born good, are born cheese, or they become played over tirelessly on the radio. If Matt Darey's mix of Westbam - Wizards of the Sonic was THE SONG for 2 months on the radio, would it be cheese? HELL NO. that's an anthem and no matter what, i'm sticking to that song no matter what kind of phaze it's in. |

| totally agree with djSlain on this one, just coz sandstorm was played alot doesnt affect the actually goodness of the track, it makes u hate it cuz u hear it 24/7 which is bugger, but its still a great track in its own right, just overkilled, if u like bottle of coke A and had it for ages, and then try bottle of coke B, and love that more, that doesnt make bottle A horriable, sounds silly i no but the pinceable is the same :stongue: |

| Well cheese songs are made from 1 persons opinion. Trance songs are meant to be played out. Points of view depending on how many people hear these songs played over and over depend on how cheesy it is. Sandstorm is the only song played because they don't play trance where you live. I live in LI and you think I like to hear Melanie C - I turn to you(original) over and over. No , but I think if internet radio stations could broadcast over radio wavs then you could listen to trance all day and cheese would never be a problem. Will that happen? Not yet but USA was not meant for trance in someways yet people here are listening to it. Imagaine listening to Tranceaddict radio with simcut hitting the turn tables. Never have to worry about bad trance ever again or anyone else out there who knows about turning the trance vinyls. |
