post ur opinions..im kinda interested how the media makes ya think around the world...

i know is suposed to be a CHILL out forum..but who carez ;)
Abbas
Hey man, you read my mind, for a while I wanted to post something like this but I didn't wanna start something that was unwelcome....

I'm Palestinian, and my view on this, is that the world is full of crap.....comeon, the whole world talks, and Bush comes out with his Mitchell crap Report and tells people who have been fighting for decades to listen to what I have to say....good luck is what I have to say to him!!!

I personally think not one side can be blamed, I have family in the West Bank, I went to Palestine once when I was like 1, I only hear stories what its like.....anyways, I believe the generation of leaders we have now will accomplish nothing, I believe the UN propasoal for security should have been implemented........although I think the UN can't do much, but atleast somebody would be taking notice and trying to control the situation somewhat....

Sharon, no offence to anybody is a cold blooded killer (i dont wanna start a fight, but just observe what he's been doing).....Arafat is an idiot, and hope he dies soon....the US has stuck its nose in this and believe they can do something.....Isreal and US politics I won't even get into right now....

Lastly, shame on the Arab world, all they do is watch, look at how much money these leaders have, like in Saudi Arabia building sky scrapers, if anyone has encountered leaders and people from the Gulf (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, etc.....) these people have enough money to buy anything....yet they stand there doing nothing, why?! my guess is the US!!!...

anyways, I think i have babbled enough

That stuff is really complicated. It seams to go on forever.

Hi Abbas
Cool to have a Palestinian here on the broad, didnt think there would be one here..nice
as for me im israeli but my fmaily left like 10 years ago..but i got all my relatives there and im visiting a lot so im up to date ;)
anyway that bombing yesterday made me go nuts..i mean..my cousines cry on the phone how they are afaraid to enter the mall in order to buy shoes..or how ppl wouldnt go to clubs..one of my relative slost his job in a hotel in jerusalem due to the no more existing tourism

personally i dont like the US interventions either..i thought that Clinton just wanted to get into history books as the man who made the mid-east peae..he might have pushed both sides too much..so it exploded.

anyway..id actually agree with Baraks camp david offert..but about jerusalem..i wouldnt seperate it..cause im not so sure if the arabs are already accepting the jewish connection to their holy sites their. they are always denying israels right to EXIST so why give em the holies place on earth?

Where I live the media is anti-Israel for the time being, because of the announcement of the new ambassador here, Carmen Gillon, who, considering his pro-torture beliefs, they feel is a provocation to Denmark. However, I also read a lot of international news, including Time and Newsweek which are mainly pro-Israel so I don't think my opinions on this is biased:

I think that Sharon is destroying the peace-process, which would have been a peace-agreement had it not been for the stuborn old fool Arafat. Currently I think that fundamentalists (the worst kind of people no matter what they are advocating) on both sides are bringing up the body count and nothing else.
It's a damn shame that a lot of innocent people have to die because of some old buildings, and it will probably continue happening until Arafat has stepped down/died and the left-wing will win the Knesset. As for Bush: The more he shuts the **** up - the better.

But I am well aware that these opinions are based on the facts given by the press, and they would probably be different if I had access to all the information I would like.

there's too much fighting going on in the world..
this brings a quote to mind..
quote:

"When we look at modern man, we see that modern man suffers from a kind of poverty of the spirit, which stands in glaring contrast to his scientific and technological abundance. We've learned to fly the air like birds, we've learned to swim the seas like fish, but we havn't learned to walk the Earth as brothers and sisters."

I hate conflict. This problem goes back many many years. It's sad that ppl cannot put aside differences and come to a consensus on peace. Personally, i just think people will just keep killing each other until there is no one left.

Truly the only thing that pisses me off when i see all of this is the fact that the problems arent being done through politics and negotations but rather through violence... that wont help in any way.

i appluaded clinton for allowing discussions to go through a diplomatic and honorable manner. the started when it spilled onto the streets and out of the politicians hands... this i blame on the frustration of the palestinian people. it is alright to be frustrated but to let that build into violence is uncalled for.
the great YODA once said "fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering". its kinda the same thing. now with organizations such as hamas and islamic jihad so powerful it is impossible to have direct talks, those two groups have only one thing on their mind, the destruction of isreal and its jewish people, that is a fact... how do you deal with that? i dont get it either, its in the best interest of the whole mid-east for there to be peace - it'll lead to an economic boom among other benfits. why do some islamic nations (iran, syria, iraq) hate the jewsih people? what's wrong with love?

sorry for coming out like that so let leave on a happy note, check out this funny page:

this thread will soon be closed...heheh...yeah, but the conflict sucks..i can't say anything more, because i don't live in the region and am not of either ethnicity...i wish they could sumhow reach a peace settlement that would last..

peace

There has been bloodshed on both sides, yes, that is true, BUT... when in such a conflict someone masterminds the murder of 20 young girls and boys at a discotheque... that is PURE EVIL. And we know who masterminded that murder. NOTHING can be more heinous than this crime. Nothing.
