Now that the Bal en Blanc is over,
The hype for Ravemontreal 14 and the ticket sales went up big time!
People from Ontario, even USA are coming to this, and you can feel the excitation building up,.,., Set-up is done, and everything is in place to have a massive good time.
So we are now at HALF the tickets sold... 250/on max 500
So don't wait! ;-)

So much for the Ottawa 'heads.. I have almost given up on them.. looks like I might be making this trip solo AGAIN.. they are so lame.:wtf:
I have to start working on them already for Ben Sims.. sheesh..
either way.. looking forward to it!! Thomas Krome was def. one of the better techno sets I caught last year.. Kanzyani was also pretty damn dope! :D |

TRUST ME....... I would love nothing more.. Thomas Krome 2 nights in a row.. plus I have heard nice things about Velvet...
But... and there is always a *but*.. I can't make the trip from Ottawa 2 nights in a row, and I can't book this Friday off work.. big meetings.. :(
Friday is my bday though so I will be making up for missing the night before. ;) |

Saturday May 1st report,
400 sold
First) You can't compare neither velvet to rm14, or an after-hours to rm14. It's a RAVE. Hearing Krome at Velvet and RM14 is two very different things. We are talking about a funky set in a private bar, and a techno in a big event on a 40,000 watts system with a mad energy. One doesn't replace the other.
second) Once you see the vibe and the set-up, I suggest Kate you stay... hmmm 10 minutes in my set. You will not leave, guaranteed.

oh ya.. I figured both sets/events would be quite different.
hehee.. we shall see Martin, I'll be with Ira & Mag so I'm sure we will stay for a bit. :)
My older sister is coming with me too.. can't waiiiiit.. she rarely comes out anymore.. took me to my first party Sasha & Digweed in Montreal 1996, so it's always an occasion when she comes out. She loves techno too... when she's not listening to trance that is.. :D |
