in my opinion sasha and digweed is progressive in general. Their tracks vary from progressive house to progressive trance. Some sets are more "housey" than "trancey" and vice versa.

DJ Rolando - Nitelife:16 - The Aztec Mystic puts together an outstanding mix fo our listening pleasure

Timewriter - Deep Train I & II - Fantastic producer and apparently a great DJ

Deep Dish - Yoshiesque vol.1 - Back when they had the funk.

These mixes aren't strictly house but are all well put together aand are absolutely rockin'.

sasha played deep house in his 2000 essential mix from feb. I've seen digweed live in toronto, he played some deep house. They play anything really. I can't wait for delta heavy 2 then start the drive to get digweed to play heaven scent and sasha to follow with xpander.

DJ Chus as solo, or with (Pablo) Ceballos, throw down the best tribal house ever. check out Chus's "The Real Underground Sounds Iberican" compilation, his "Amplified" compilation, or the compilation they worked on as a duo "This is Iberican Sound!" 2 vols of it i think.

In House We Trust is a great series, 002 was great, it was 1 CD mixed by Behrouz and the other by MV.

Erick Morillo is the man. check out his label, Subliminal. the Subliminal Sessions series is great too, he mixed the first one too i think, or im not sure which one it was i heard, but one of the SS's he mixed is plain amazing.

Dimitri from Paris, his Night @ the Playboy Mansion, and recent "After the Playboy Mansion" are mint.

Miguel Migs (Mr. Naked Music himself) owns us. get some of his stuff.

Liquid People from the Defected label are also ownage.

and Jask, Mr. Thaisoul Sessions is kickass too. check him out, cool guy as well. www.thaisoul.com

Superchumbo lays down some crazy beats, worth looking at. get his Essential.

Andy Caldwell = win. he has a CD out, check it.

that's all fine and dandy, but you didn't answer my question.

I'm looking for something along of what Inertia said (great selections, btw. Can't also forget the Subliminal label guys, Harry 'choo choo' Romero and Eric Morillo, Blue Six, Nick Holder, Dubtribe Soundsystem, Pete Heller, Peter Funk, DJ Sneak, Eddie Amador, gene Farris, Joey Negro, Jark Prongo, Robert Owens, Aaron Carl, Ulta Nate, Roy Davis Jr.....christ, I could go forever, that's just off the top of my head)

Probably my favourite name is Terry Lee Brown Jr. No, he's not black, and he's not from Chicago. He's actually a german white guy named Norman Feller, but he uses the alias because it's just about as stereotypical 'black house DJ from Chicago' name as you can get. Classic.
