some friends and they said make a thread about it
on TA.
So this is what i need:
- First Trance song?
- who came on the idea to name it TRANCE :conf:
- Best Trance Songs?
- Best Trance DJ (my personal favorit is AvB)
- different variations about trance.
i'd love that if you all could help me

| I don't think you will be able to find any solid answers to any of your questions. All of those are VERY debatable. |

| There is no "best" tune/DJ. Try "most popular" tune/DJ instead. |

Easy , God made Trance, Adam & Eve created Armin Van Buuren and Tiesto was Born from Mary's Fangita and the first ever trance track was by Tiesto - Mary Had a Lamb (Gabriel and Dresden Remix)
To be honest i don't know. |

People talk about the KLF as producing the first trance tune in 3am Eternal(really the first popular one, others had been doing it before), but then Kraftwerk or Jean Michelle-Jarre were probably the true innovators back in the day.
Most popular tunes are probably Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar, Age Of Love - Age of Love, Jam & Spoon - Stella, BT - Flaming June, FSOL - Papua New Guinea, Orbitla - Lush 3.1.
Early dj pioneers, Sven Vath, Westbam, Paul Van Dyk, Taucher, in the UK Paul Oakenfold, John '00' Fleming, Danny Rampling, Sasha, Digweed.
Its a ing tough question though, you'd have problems defining what trance was and is too. Its changed alot over the years, incorporated other genres at some points etc. |

I propose Dance 2 Trance - We Came In Peace (1990) as the first true trance track, although I agree that it is extremely arguable.
And as for the rest of your presentation, I think instead of trying to define the best, or the first, you should simply examine how trance evolved over time and who the major players were at different times. I think that would be interesting and a more manageable task. |

Agreed that The KLF were the first to use the term "trance". Not sure about those most popular tunes though, at least one isn't trance (PNG) and I've never heard of the last one. |

I wouldn't label Lush as being trance... maybe Underworld's or Bolland's remix of it but not the original. |

| First time I heard of Trance was by The KLF - What Time Is Love (Pure Trance Original) in 1988. |
