i have had these debris kinda stringy dark things in my eyes every since maybe jan of last year. really annoying crap that you see when you stare at a white wall or move your eyes around outside in the sunlight or reading something.
i got an eye exam thorough check last april of 2003 but they said nothing is wrong just eye floaters and my retina is not in danger. i'm getting another one again since ih ave noticed more floaters ever since and i'm scared of losing my eyesight or even having more in the future that it will make my vision cloudy or just plain miserable and murky to look.
i'm so stressed out about this that i'm ready to get surgery and pay the sky high prices for it.
anyone have these things. if not if you dont know about eye floaters no biggie. |

| maybe a year ago, the amount of floaters u had were relatively low and undamaging. Now that u say u have more, i think it'd be time for another checkup to see if u have a dangerous amount. Hope things work out for you |

i've always had them... and i'm 17.. but my eye doc said that they're normal and everybody has them.. it's like bacteria or something ..but do you wear contacts? because they get worse when you have contacts i guess.. especially if you don't clean your contacts everynight (a la me.) no biggie.. just don't dwell over it and you won't even notice them.. as soon as i read that i saw about 5 million of them in my eyeball.. they won't make u go blind...... errrrrrr umm but what do i know, i'm just a libra from east springfield ohio who enjoys long walks on the beach and waterballon fights after reading the bible..
haha.. that's from a movie.. or somethin.. (except for the whole libra n ohio thing) or maybe i heard it on tv.. i dunno... who cares
but yeah that's all..... i'm out

i have them aswell, they are supposed to be white blood cells that got stuck in the back of your eye and they don't know where there are going, so they just bounce around. i think.
my doctor told me that if i get more than what i have now go see him. there is nothing that can be done other than surgery. i can overlookd them after a while, but when you read it is ty because your eyes concentrate and they just come out:whip: :whip: :whip:
if you got the money go for the surgery, not me though, i am poor young hispanic, <- that means i don't have any kind of insurace
so i am fecked

i used to have them.
so much so that i would look up at the sky and follow them instead of the clouds or even the sky itself.

don't worry, had them in highschool.
I only had one get "stuck" once really, stayed there for about 3-4 days. Small black dot. Was scary at first because no matter what I did, whether it be taking my contacts out, or washing my eyes, it'd still be there. Doc told me they were just floaters, which i had never heard of before, but she didn't seem concerned a bit. I believe she said its more common in older people. I've had the "clear" floaters forever, but its so unnoticable and undistracting I never think for a second about those.
I've come to learn they just come and go. I haven't had one since highschool, so, I wouldnt suggest doing any dramatic surgeries unless the doctor suggests it. Ask your doc what he/she really suggests.
Unless theres a health risk I can almost guarantee he/she wont suggest surgery.....eye surgery is definitely not an easy surgery to go through, let alone risky. |
