LMAO - girls who can't tell if a guy is gay

So i noticed this cute girl at Boa last night. For those of you who were there, this was by the railing in the front left corner of the dancefloor, where a lot of the gay guys gathered up.

She was kinda shy and seemed new to this. Every once in awhile, she'd work up the courage to slowly try dancing up to one of the gay guys, get ignored and go back to the railing.

me: i don't think he swings that way
her: what?
me: they're all gay!
her: *shocked* no way!
me: *laughing* you can't tell?
her: *laughing* nope
me: come dance!
SgtFoo

A gay guy won't ignore a good lookin' girl who comes along to dance with him.

The guy was probably straight and just not interested.

Trust.

Ummmmmmm I take it you're a TA noob? Or at least are a noob to the TA outside of the Toronto forum? Because "Pics or STFU" is used in the chillout CONSTANTLY...it's like forum slang around here...relax!;)

All hail the fruit flies who know everything there is to know about gay men, which is obviously more than enough to make sweeping generalizations about them (such as the one that not a single one of them would ever ignore a pretty girl).

So when we make a blanket statement about homosexuals that's positive, it's okay. Mmm-hmm. How very PC. Mind you, I think I'd be slightly offended if I were gay - being friendly and dynamic and polite is, to the best of my knowledge, an individual trait, and does not arise from any group membership or sexual orientation.

d!abolic, the important thing is you got the cute girl talkin'. Good work. ;)

Honest to god Aaron, "all hail the fruit flies?"

Something tells me that Tara and I have a bit more experience going up to men in a bar and dancing with them than you do. (Unless you have something to tell us, hmm?) Forgive me if I didn't add the words "usually" or "in my experience." I thought that was a given.

No one ever said that gay men are nice to girls BECAUSE they're gay, you inferred that. How PC of you.
