I had FCAT yesterday, too, and I was probably a little witchy, so forgive me if I was. I think I failed my math part. At the end of the video the guy says that she can feel other things like people giving her a hug... how does that work?
I think that was bull to make the audience go awwww...
Nevertheless, that is quite sad. The first reaction when I read the title of this thread was "wow, i wouldnt want to feel pain either".
But if you think about it, you'd just sit down for so long until your legs get so numb, they'd be permanently damaged. Damn. |

heard something a couple of months ago. a man that was 100% paralyzed could register when someone touched him. i think they could tell by monitoring his brain activity. the guy should not be able to feel it so the doctors looked into it. now, i dont know how sure this is, but according to their studies, there was a second "nervous system". it was smaller and slower than the ordinary one and didnt register everything, but it could register touch. this was why the paralyzed guy could feel if someone touched him. maybe this is the reason the girl could feel hugs.
i am not too sure about what i just wrote. has anyone heard anything similar? |

Poor kid. How would she ever know if she got ill or had a broken bone?? She'd just try and walk around like nothing had happened and end up doing herself more damage. That really ended my day on a sour note.
