Hi im having some serious trouble with logic 5.5. I can load and edit any songs I want but if i try and run it from start to finish it stops about 75% of the way through saying audio overload, audio engine unable to process all data in time. Ive tried cutting all the plug ins out of my songs and just using wavs, ive optimised my computer for music and this still happens even though my processor doesnt go above 50%
im running a pentium 4 2.2 ghz with 512 ram, a soundblaster audigy 2 platinum pro, windows xp. Ive tried lofic in PC AV mode and ASIO mode wich i know my card is compatible with, still no luck
If anyones had a similar problema and can give advise It would be much appreciated cos this is driving me nuts  |

Humm, Imy computer isnt that high Spec and I get the error. I notmaly just tap continue and continue working it doesnt become a problem.
All I can say is make sure your not running any other programs.
Oh and also I had problems with the Audigy2 because it has so much in it for dvd and games, you could have got a cheeper card thats better for audio production.
But i dont think its your soundcard anyway, I guess either of our computers are fully optimised.
Just try reducing the buffer rate in your card settings. |

tried that with no luck :(
i also noticed no matter how simple i keep a song this error pops up a few bars after he plug ins stop being triggered. so near the end of my full tunes when its building down it overloads, and even if i make a small tune with a few layers for a bew bars then cut them out it will still overload. even though no sound is coming out.
think maybe i have a plugin problem? |

Sometimes I get problems with Cubase when I install suspect plugins. They often play silly buggers with my computer. Have you installed anything new lately (plugin wise that is) that might be contributing to this problem. Better yet, did this problem only start recently after installing something. |
