Yeah so, I live in central PA. Are there any clubs that are within 2 or 3 hours that actually get any somewhat-big-name dj's from time to time?
I've been keeping up on the goings-on in NY, but I want to make sure there isn't anything good happening somewhere where I could drive out for the night... |

There's a decent rave scene in the middle of nowhere PA, west of philly, like Harrisburg and what not...
But if you want talent as in DJs come to Philly as much you possibly can...as much you possibly can...as much as you possibly can... |

I live in the Harrisburg area, and the clubs SUCK these days.
2nd Street is where most of the bars are. Dragonfly used to have some DECENT EDM on the weekends - even had Darude in last summer. Unfortunately, it's gone all hip-hop these days. Eclipse is the same way, and the rest of the places really are glorified bars.
There's a place down in York though (I forget the name of it, one of the guys on the Glow forums spins there) that does EDM on Friday nights though.
When I get rich and famous, I'm gonna build a superclub on the riverfront. :D
Philly really is the place to be for clubbing - Fluid and Transit are the major ones. I actually kind of miss Motion though - there was always room to dance! |

| PA is hurtin guys.....your much better off partying in DC or NYC. I live in Pittsburgh at the moment and it even sucks here. They shut down Metropol and Laga leaving us with NOTHING!!! I tell ya....its really sad. Pittsburgh is a big city compaired to some cities and I think if there was a scene....it would be a good one. But thats one of the reasons im moving. Im really getting sick of driving 4-6 hours to DC, NYC, and Toronto just to see my favorite djs. |

Hey all... Im the DJ "Daniel Paul" from York and the GLOW forum. I must agree.. the area is just about all commercial crap! no one wants to take a chance in this area... they seam to be a few years behind and dont know how to advertise for . Anyways the place in York is called Goodfellas. Its in west york on West King st. its not a big club but its a chill spot if you like EDM. I am the only TA resedent there but a few of the other DJs spin some realy good hard trance. They have 2 bars, main bar with dj... and a middle room with dj, 2 pool tables, and tables/booths to chill at. They just about always have 3-4 djs friday (house, Breaks, dnb:whip: ) and saturdays (Trance, Hard Trance, TechTrance)... one or two in the main room and another two in the middle room. My time slot is every other saturday... for at least 2 hours and most of the time its from 11-2. I can also say that my records are fresh trance! Just about all of them are 03-04... ill toss a classic everynow and then but im not Acosta... enough said. They have cheep drinks to... Rudbull and Vodka rail 16oz. are always 3$! its a good time. I dont think i would drive more then 45 miles but thats me.
I also talked to the owner about having a "TA Night" and he said if i want we can do it... Do you think we could get a few hundred TA's? They also have a room down stairs that I have setup my stuff before for privite partys and when the place gets packed. I think they can have around 300 people total so its not like we would need at ton of TA' to make it a great night. I could also showcase some fellow TA DJ's if they get me demos cd's etc. I was thinking it would be no-cover with a DJ Donation that would be split between the DJs... Id call it CASH FOR WAX or something. Drinks would stay cheap as hell to (not like your 8$ shots from a club). Get the word out if you want this to happen... let me know what you think... fellow TA's its up to us! it could become a regular monthly or bi-monthly PA and local TA bash!!! :eyes:
Let me know if you wnat directions to Goodfellas or if you have any questions!

You could always come to Cleveland if necessary it's 2 hours away and the scene is getting pretty decent here.... even if it's not crazy late hours like nyc ( heck "nothing" in the usa is like nyc ) |
