I think Nik Fish is behind it somehow....he's normally got a hand in anything hard and crap... |
Nik Fish played a set at Summadayze in Perth. It was the most god awful think I've ever heard, but it pulled the crowd into the tent.. I think it was mainly the crossfader work out.
Lawson and ed real also played at this event, lawson's tune selection I likened to marching and germany (no offence to any germans .. but it is german hardstyle afterall!) it was just that kinda music .. a few nice tunes played, but some of it was just monotoneous crap.
Ed Real was pretty rude, and he got what he deserved with an empty tent, again a couple of nice tunes played, but the rest was horrible.
I guess its like any genre, it has its good points, and its bad points, unfortunately so far what we hear in Australia (and especially perth) is the basic crap that the general gurner can get into. |

| I love all forms of dance music especially trance and hard trance. I picked up a record the other day Gouryella - Ligaya the hardstyle remixes. And it is now one of my fav tracks it has a good bass beat but with still with all of the trance sound. I proceeded to download a few more tracks only to find that most of them sounded crap. I will continue to listen to hardstyle records when buying but I think the overall sound of the majority of tracks is a little too bland for my likeing with only a few good tracks floating around. |

I like to think I'm pretty open minded about all styles of electronic music. If we're talking aout the "hard" styles of electronic music, I've heard good hard trance, I've heard good hardcore/gabber, I've heard decent hard house, and most freeform f*%@in' rocks.
I haven't, however, heard anything remotely decent under the "hardstyle banner  |

Gawd that little fat dude is hilarious yet disturbing |
If you slow it down, you can actually see a pony tail bopping up and down in a few of the frames. In short, it's actually a girl. :nervous: |

bang bang bang bang, evil voice, electrical equipment, bang bang etc etc, that seems to sum up hardstyle
and what is it with hardstyle & most releases having a picture disc. |

.. its to make up for the music, they think we are all in kindergarten and pretty pictures make us happy.
either that or they want you to spend more time looking at it then playing the record.
either one works for me. |
