...I met this little Laydeeeeee....she had a slammin body....
oh...hello...anyway I was browsing the Mars Rover site as it's kind of the big news minus all the worldly violence and political crap going on. Much to my surprise, and nothing to do with Mars, the Voyager Missions which I knew were floating away, are in fact still in contact with Earth, 26 years after they were launched. Voyager 1, is about 9 billion miles from us (90+ Astronomical Units), and Voyager 2 is 18 AU's behind.
I had no idea that Voyager 1 was 3 times further than it was when it passed neptune in 1990, and that it's still plugging away and in contact with Earth.
There is a 50 minute press briefing here from Novemember, with some foreign hard to understand scientists, as well as a couple old enough to be from the Lincoln administration. Anyway, for you space freaks...this is certainly something neat to listen at and make you "think" a bit.

...anyway, back to my song...
...When I went to planet Earth...I met this little layyydeeee....she had a slammin body...I said that she could have my baby...she took me to a club...where we shared a little wine...and in no time at all...guess just what was on my mind...staring at your rear...I said loud and clear that I'm gonna get 'cha...I got this 40 oz of beer and you know that I'm gonna get wit'cha! |
