hows every one else orginised theirs?
sharpeye00
on a book shelf with prog on one side, house on the other :)
Floorfiller
that's a good question...i've thought about the same thing...

i was thinking you could either do it by

Label (if you get a lot of promos or something)

or

artist

either way i'm gonna build a SQL database and asign numbers to each one...i figured that would be helpful...

whenever I play something, it gets put back on the stock at the front. kind of self-sorting that way into similar styles
pooley
Alphabetical , but first split it in 2 sections. Played alot and not played that much...
webmeister
Most recently played at the front of the box, then in chronological order towards the back :)
dukes
oh well seems like everyone does what ive done in the passed of putting most recent played at the front.

ive tried alphibetical, vocal/non-vocal and label and they all sucked.

its just i moved them all and now they aint in a most recently played order. this is gonna take bloody ages to sort itself out :(
Shook1
By BPM & i'll hold a couple tunes that I wanna start off w/ to the side...
gumble
ones i like atm, in box next to decks

all others on shelf.

mainly by label, if not then artist. an of course there is an unsorted section.

see below:

I use styles - one end is warm-up, then clubby/commercial (stuff that people recognise), then european, then harder, then Bonzai/green martian/xtc/tripomatic then techno (eve/telica). VERY broad but through that I can slot stuff in (I put for example Drop-Out stuff before my bonzai section cos I prefer to drop the Bonzai stuff later on, I slot ITWT tunes around the same slot as Tsunami). No total rhyme or reason but it makes sense to me.
