What program do the pros use when they want to fix a mix that is a little off? For instance, on the Global Undergrounds it is widly known that all of the djs (besides Nick Warren) do not do raw mixes and do tweek them to make the mixes sound better.

| Re-record it, its the only way you'll get better. If I have a double beat for like a second or two, I usually just delete it in Sound Forge but seriously, you need to learn not to make those mistakes cuz its the only way you'll get better. I was recording my promo just now and couldn't match up a sound effect with a beat so the mix was pretty sketchy and I decided to dump the whole thing. It sucks, but at least I know that when I do get it right, I didn't have to doctor it up. |

do you mean fixing like a trainwreck? or "mastering" the overall sound of the mix? like raising volumes and tweaking ??

Exactly, don't be trying to get rid of trainwrecks with software, thats not good and you won't progress, plus what are you gonna do if your playing live, just redo it, unless your talking about mastering it, then thats different. |
