if you're going into fiction, then my only suggestion would be that you be honest: implement your experiences or the ones of people you know into your writing; spill the essence of you to the reader, and make yourself identifiable. be subjective and narrative, but not too much.
if you're leaning towards journalism, then be objective and concise, yet detailed.
for either of the two, i suggest you read and read and write as much as possible.
technique and structure will develop naturally after a while.
expand your horizons. |
