| this is really nice and happy :) key changes are nice. the bass seems to be too much of a mid-ranger tho, get a bit of a separation and a sub in there if you can. a couple of the percs have a bit too much hi end imo. there is a good blend of elements when it kicks off, try refining the main synth a bit more if u can. not sure on the piano + maybe stick some fx in there, especially the buildup. the clap is ok imo, but a more 909ish type clap would probably go nicely :) |

Hey man, nice track. Wouldn't really call it hard, but it was cool. Kick could have been a little more present and the lead seemed to have some noise on it, or something that made it really scratchy sounding, like it was kinda distorted. Anyway, that bugged me a bit.
Apart from that, I enjoyed it. |

Luke - Which synth are you talking about? Are you talking about the gated synth or the variating riff? If its the variating riff, Im playing with the envelope @ da moment.
Gunna change the bass aswell, try and get something a bit more punchy and low end.
Understand what you mean on the percs. My EQ's not gr8 but Im reasonably happy with it. I like the choppy sound.
Still playing with the clap aswell. Gunna look for some better samples.
Not gr8 @ fx, but I'll give it a go.
Cheers for all the comments guys. |

Sounds good, although as has been stated before, this doesn't really fall into the "hard" category.
Where you have the piano playing the lower notes (during the breakdown at around 2 mins but before the percs come back in) - they don't feel like they belong in there. Work perfectly after the breakdown though.
The leading synth that really takes the forefront at around 4:20 - it suddenly took on a grating feel in my ears, not sure why. I listened to it over again a few times, and same thing each time. Maybe cause it was working really well with the bassline, then you took it out there....???
This is really good stuff here, albeit a bit too happy for my tastes.
Oh ok I know what it was that made it screechy - in the full mix, the noise that cheggy was talking about is drowned out a bit by the other layers, but once everything else is removed, you can really hear the entire synth. |

Cool track man, quite good. I'd agree with cheggy about it not being hard at all, but it's definitely uplifting. Some comments:
-Kick sorta gets drowned out in the mix, it could use a lot more presense.
-Good work with the percussions, it's nice to hear some non-standard sounds.
-I find the panning on the snare to be incredibly annoying, keep it centered! =P
-Bassline is pretty nice, good job with it.
-Very good synth work IMO and nice melody, though too happy sounding to really suit my tastes.
Good job, keep it up! |

| This song is really damn cool! Would definitely sit well at the end of a melodic trance mix, very much the sunrise after a night at a club. |
