Traktor - Mix Memory Usage

| Hi. I made an 80 minute mix with traktor and when I save to .WAV , it took up 850 megabytes! Thats way too much! I've never saved mixes to wav before. Is this normal. How do i get a codec(or pacth or whatever) to save to mp3? will it still take up so much memory? Any help is appreciated. THNX. |

| yeah 850mb is normal. i advise you to use something like audiograbber to convert to mp3 where it will take take up much less space. :D |

| or use AudioCatalyst 2.10 and compress to mp3 at 192 bitrate |

you converted from 850 to 65 meg? What bitrate did you loose, and what are your plans with that set?
Sounds like you used 96k/bps and that would lead to a noticeable loss of quality. I wouldn't use anything smaller than 128 or 160 for posting and VBR or 256 for archiving. |
