*********DJ Tiesto - In My Memory**********

Wow, I'm VERY impressed with this!!!

Shows many sides of Tiesto that he doesn't display in his sets.

Tracklisting as follows:

1. Magik Journey
(Not the greatest, hard with a uplifting synth line, always feels like its building up)

2. Close To You
(Nice mellow tune, great vocals)

3. Dallas @ 4 p.m.
(Not bad either, has a nice aggressive bassline, good feel to this tune.)

4. In my Memory
(Wasn't too crazy about this one, sounded like some eurodance too me, but then the vocals kicked in, Tiesto's vocalist is great. A nice slow feel good tune.)

5. Obsession
(A nice tune with high energy, seems more like house to me then anything else, once again showing Tiesto's versatility. He blends styles together and gets a nice harmony in this track. You can hear the type of filters and synth line on the track are more of the house style but its still got that trance feel to it.)

6. Battleship Grey
(AMAZED! I was easily taken over by the sultry vocals on this tune...its supposed to be dreary, but the slow ambience just takes me way. Easily one of my favorites on the album.)

7. Flight 643 (Original Mix)
(If I really have to explain this, where have you been? Absolutely sick track! I hated it the first time I heard it but wow does it grow on you! Alot of major DJ's pumped this tune the last few months, because it was so versatile to go from uplifting to progressive trance. Tiesto himself mixes it the best, marco v does it nicely as well. A step away from what most people were used to in a tiesto production, A dark progressive track with african wood tribal rhythms, throughout, yet still maintaining that classic Tiesto hi energy feel. Sick build up in this tune as well. So much for my lack of an explantion )

8. Lethal Industry
(Wasn't feeling this one tooo much, had kind of a feel do it that I would hear in a Yahel song, but Yahel would do it better.)

9. Suburban Train
(Thought this was called Urban Train? Either way, Tiesto's newest, another floor pumper. A nice melody, and the synth line reminds somewhat of somethign Rank 1 would put out. Nothign less then what I'm used to hearing in Tiesto. I know he's used the clap/hi hat in another track though. I think it was a Sarah McLaughin remix. I like this one.)

10. Close to You (Magik Muzik Mix)
(Remember how I said nice mellow tune? Tiesto kicks it up like only he can. It retains its mellow ulifting nature but DAMN does Tiesto know how to play with my emotions! Beautiful vocals. I don't know if this would be club worthy, but its great to listen to. Maybe something BT would play.)

11. Urban Train (Marc O'Tool Main Mix)
(First time I heard of a remix of Urban Train. Not bad but I don't hear any resemblence to the original. A nice tune nontheness, this chick has some solid vocals, a nice tribal rythym in the back reminiscient of yahel)

Well I appreciate if you took the time to read this. If ya didn't, ah well. I really like this CD, I encourage people to buy it (Flight 643 is coming my way on vinyl, and probably urban train later this year when its released).

All in all I'm impressed. DJ Tiesto's demonstates his versatility and that he can infact produce something other then floor fillers (IE Battleship Grey).

Thanks for your time

That is all.
