thirdly, with respect to that quote: I'm confused. Now am I your soulmate because I know about downbeat or because of Scott Weiland? And where did you gather Scott Weiland anyways? Yeah I'm a fan... at least of STP, but I don't recall saying that... are you reading my mind?

peace.

actually it's not chillout :haha:

it's downtempo and bossanova and lounge!

really that's why they took that name, after a club where ppl wear suits to hear that stuff.

They had some great stuff till they went boring in 2001.
their earlier stuff was bland to me, i cant stand it :whip: it seems the ladder, the more diverse sounds, instrumentation , etc...

bump.

i am starting to get really deep into chillout / deep funk / bossanova-jazz type of stuff ...

they are very good .. yeah yeah ... they made that o so popular track 'lebanese blonde' .. i am sure everyone has heard it at least twice in your lifetime ..

but you have to pick up this old mix album 'Om Lounge' ... that is a seriously good mix cd ..

wow.. what a disappointment ! it would seem almost illegal to leave a thievery concert. but who i am kidding ? Missouri has never been disappointed by artists, b/c no talent artists have been here :whip: well.. sasha and digweed, but that was before i got into the genre.. and now that i think about it, It would have been the time of my life, because no artists EVER come here. I always see TIESTO HOLDEN PAUL VAN DYK in everyone sigs and the date they are attending, as if its nothing... its sooooooo depressing. :sadgreen:

Actually, we have the Voodoo Lounge & Kabal that has brought in international acts such as Wink, Surreal, Carola, Cox, Hawtin every Saturday night. Sigur Ros will be here in February. Those are some big names:eyespop: and check out syde-sho.com for any upcoming local events. Good taste by the way!

Get this album: Federico Aubele- Gran Hotel Buenos Aires.

It's produced by Thievery Corporation, while Federico Aubele does the live acoustic guitar. Beautiful tango influenced lounge, dub, ambient....downtempo greatness.

The whole Mirror Conspiracy CD is amazing. They needed a deeper selection of tunes to sample for the number CDs they've put out. A lot of their songs sound a lot alike.

So Com Voce is amazing
