I'm just celebrating an international holiday, I never meant to be sexist whatsoever, because this celebration is part of the culture I live in, so I never noticed (and, because of the name, I thought it was the same way worldwide). In fact, if it weren't okay to do this then why:
1) Did they claim for this day?
2) Is this being told everywhere? (at least here in Brazil... remember that it was a girl who was distributing flowers)
3) Girls are so happy when you congratulate them? (and they actually get sad when you forget)
Culture shock? Mabye, but it doesn't hurt to take just one minute of your year (it's not much, is it?) to tell girls how good the world is thanks to them :) Everybody likes to be valued ;) |
