I should have done the same, I bet sander was great.You should come downstairs and slap some sense into me for being there, and while you were at it grabbed tiesto and told him that Sander was giving free mixing lessons at "the terrace".

Mixing is overrated. Tiesto played the best music of the weekend by far in my opinion.
Sander K was good while I was up there. Slow, but good. And I was in a jump up and down kind of mood, also in the mood to hear the most ridiculous new music ever, so I went to Tiesto. Everything from Clear Blue to great vocals to bangin techno.
And it didn't bother me that 1 time the beats were off and he had to fix it real quick. Or that he had to drag his finger on the platter to adjust. Or that you could actually hear the mixing cause he's not always worried about having the next song blend perfect with the last, sometimes its good to mix up the music even if it means they will not mix very smoothly, no matter how good a dj you are. I've also heard him do some very good smooth in key mixing, alot actually.
If you gave the exact same set to PVD, Armin, Tiesto I bet they all mix them about the same.
Hey I love them all though, all different styles, but Tiesto has the closest taste in music as me, so to me he's #1. |
