| That was a really good party. It was so nice to see so many industry DJ's hanging out there as well (Cor Fijneman, Pete Moutso, Don Diablo, Jon '00' Fleming, Ferry, Dave Dresden, Jon O'Bir, Nickson & Singleton, Filo & Perry). I have to say that Marcus Schultz was OFF THE HOOK!!!!!!!!!! Now I know what all of you are hyping him up for. He certainly delivered!!! Crystal Method was good, but my attention went to the legend, Harry Lemon, who was rockin the back room- he really packed that room full too. As soon as CM was done, the room emptied out, but only cuz everyone thought Armin was up immediately afterwards. Armin played hard as ! But yes it was too short. It was awesome to finally see M.I.K.E.- he opened with Chab- "My Memory" which was a nice surprize. Big thanks to MIKE for leaving a voice mail message on my friends phone for him. |

LOL.. i joked with Pete.. that him and Ferry were following me.. we all went to Niki beach prior to Masion to check out DJ rap.. and of course Ferry and Pete showed up there to support Rap! and i said goodbye to them before leaving and low and behold I run into Pete at masion... i thought i saw John Digweed there too and some more... |

Push = Letdown
Armin was supposed to play 2-4, but the night was running an hour behind so he played 3-4 and of course we all know that for the 1st 15 minutes the sound was total ass, so really his set was 45 minutes of quality :stongue: |

I'm almost completely in agreement with redeye. Markus kicked ass, the venue was really sweet, Crystal Method SUCKED! If you want to see GOOD live PA try Way Out West or Underworld. Armin played for WAY too short and Push/MIKE played that new crap he's been playing recently.. it was basically just like that A State of Trance guest hour he played last month that sucked so bad. The place started to empty by his 2nd or 3rd song.. it was pitiful. I was really hoping for the old MIKE so it was a letdown.
Perry O'Neil in the other room was sweet, and even Hairy Lemon looked good compared to that MIKE set ;) |
