anyone have any suggestions on how they'd like their trance delivered these days? I'll try to oblige:)

Markus Schulz is very popular at the moment..
the music he plays leans a bit towards progressive, but still keeping the trancey vibe. you could say it's 'deeper' trance that's doing the trick right now.

for producers, i'd say check out Leama & Moor, Ozgur Can, etc.

tracks with massive lead synths are still being made, but the sound is a lot deeper nowadays..

now that you mention it, a 2004 rework would be very cool indeed! :)

Mike,

I am a huge fan of your stuff.

Europa rocked my world, and definitely goes down as one of my all-time favourite tracks.

I want to have your babies.

Wow I remember Starchildren ! got that from MP3.com a few years back- still have it in my playlist today - Great track !
I'm definatly gonna check a few other tracks out.

And you are saying something about not doing massive melodies anymore ? :(

Are you mad ! ;) :D

:eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: Hooooly ! How could I have missed this thread!? Thanks for the bump jwear, seriously!

If you're making new trance tracks, I swear I might just soil myself lol Look at my profile, you're listed as one of my favourites, and for good reason: Dawn Forever, Europa, Apogee, Perigee, Mir, Mind, Thoughts, Body, Near Proxima, One Moon Circling, Starchildren all kick-ass tunes to the extreme.

Make some new tracks pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!

Dude, listening to Mir and now Europa I'm back in my mates bedroom about four years ago, drinking cans and having a mix - these are amazing tracks and they really have that feel that I love in trance.

Spot on stuff, never heard your stuff before but so glad you posted this.

You guys rock!!

Only just noticed this thread, can only say... THANKYOU! Been searching for you & your music online ever since the demise of mp3.com... always used to stream your tunes from my station & never got round to downloading most of them. I noticed you haven't put the original of 'Remember' up there... which is a shame since it's my favourite thing you did :) ... Didn't think it was possible for anyone to do a 14-minute long trance tune without it ever getting repetitive or boring... but it's just beautiful. Starchildren I also have, still rotating in my playlist :) , didn't rate PvD's mix of it at all. Europa, Mir, One Moon Cirlcing I've wanted to get my hands on... am downloading them now... thanks again :) you rock dude

Another thing, this may be a completely long shot but is there any chance I could have a copy of the accapella for Remember? Might involve asking Jes.. but I wouldn't know how to contact her. I would really love to remix it; not to distribute publicly or anything, just because I love the tune so much. My email is [email protected] . Thanks in advance :D
Guardian
Heyas, thanks for the kind words and Yes, there are new tracks in the works... One of which is pretty close to finished.
Sorry, I'm not able to give out accapellas at the moment, and its Roxanne Morganstern on Remember, not Jes.
Still tryin to keep up with the Guardians sound... looks like im getting into more breaky type trance at the moment.
Anyways, Peace out,

Sorry I'm late to the party here, just joined up.

Anyways, to see what Jes is up to, check out her website at http://www.planetjes.com/ There is contact info there along with news, photos, etc. It's amazing what "As the Rush Comes" has done on the charts -- I do like the track but I actually think it is far from her best work so hopefully something even better will follow from Motorcycle. I have her Jukibe CDs, Live One, The Singles, Guardians of course, etc. and her non-dance stuff is great too if you have wide musical tastes like I do.

Mike, is your yahoo group officially dead yet? Haven't seen you post there in ages. Still love your stuff, it's burning a hole in the HD of my MP3 player ;)
