OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO DANCE MUSIC
(US Artist)
Winner 2004: Moby
Selected by The Dance Music Academy
(No Public Voting)

Congratulations to MOBY who has been named winner of the award for Outstanding Contribution To American Dance Music. Moby, who attended DanceStar USA in Miami to collect his award, says:
I am proud and honored to be accorded this recognition by DanceStar and the electronic music industry in America. I understand this is the most prestigious award at the annual event and that means a lot to me. I've been involved in dance music since 1984 (almost twenty years!) and it's great that there is finally a TV event like DanceStar showcasing the music's continued development.

They still got my vote though.;) The Crystal Method were good a few years back, but there was definitely way more material that was better last year than their stuff.

Oh well, it's rare that an awards show actually gives credit where credit is due anyway.

torontotrance
it is rare and that did not happen here.

the dancestar awards are really just so big a list deejays can stroke their egos.

crystal method did deserve the awards they got but the rest I have issue with.

Blame all Americans. I'm sure the results in Canada would have been MUCH different.
