Multiple downloads and superfluous posts

Hi Swamper.
I recall that some time ago there were messages at the singles/livesets page telling us not to download more than one file at a time and not to use DAs. If we did you'd simply ban our IP.
However now the message has been changed to a plea not to use DAs. Does this mean that we are allowed to download more than one file at once? And (not that I use one, but just in case) will we get banned for using DAs?
On another subject: The hunt for a high post-count. (I've been at the throat of this before but my suggestions for solutions at the time didn't go down too well with people here.) The last couple of months I've seen people arguing their opinion through comments like "look at my post-count", and basically it seems to be a kind of status symbol here. Understandably this leads to some people posting LOLs and the like all over the place. Why not remove the post-count from immediate view? If there has to be some kind of ranking system among us I think we could find a better one. Fx. you talked about a scoring system for uploading tunes, identifying tracks etc. some time ago?!? |

Yea that whole scoring system will be coming up in TranceAddict v2.0 coming later this year when I some some freakin free time..

u could use a similar idea as what is on the gatecrasher.co.uk forums.. they just have a star rating below the user name. seems sensible to me...
it s me rite off when ppl are more bothered about how many posts they got than what they are actually posting. its like.. yea.. u got a high post count.. whats the percentage of useless ones in that?! i mean.. theres quite a few ppl with a lot higher post count than me that have been on this site for only a few months... |

I guess i am classified as a useless poster, but what can i say: i have to be useful every day in everything that i do...can't i ever do something useless every now and then? and how can soemthing useful be posted when i can only find useless threads? :conf:

You don't constantly bash us in the head with your phenomenal post-count (I haven't noticed until now). And your posts are rarely stupid LOLs.

I agree that it might be a good idea to hide the postcount thingy..but with the rating system...well, i'm not good at id-ing songs or finding new ones...and that would give me a bad scoring, even though i love comming here and helping people out..IF i can :) |
