Wow I know, the DJ Mag poll is so much better... Give me a break

These polls are the most worthless pieces of junk I have ever come across. Half the people who vote in these polls think like this: "I'll put Tiesto on my ballot because I heard somebody say he was awesome and I once downloaded this 80 minute song he wrote. And Darude made that cool sandstorm song so he's on there too"

To be honest I really don't understand this DJ worship from most people. Though I completely understand producer worship and practice a little bit of that myself (James Holden, Infusion anybody?). But DJs, especially in Trance, just play other people's music. And if they are a producer, sometimes throw one of their own tracks into the mix. They are professional music fans, nothing more. When I become a fan of a DJ it is because I look at his charts, I listen to his sets and become a fan of his music taste, not because Pete Tong says I'm supposed to like him. I know that if he puts a new record in his top 10 list that I will most likely like it. With bigger name Trance DJs though, their charts are mostly the same. Thats wonderful if you like that style, but it would be hard for me to worship them any more than I could worship a radio station.

i actually think it is better than the dj mag poll, at least judge jules isnt in the top 10. Anybody else think it is weird that trance djs are 1 and 2 and 4 in the top 10 yet in 11-90 there are only about 3djs
