i looooooove choirs, especially if they are brought in good in a tune...

anyway lets discuss..i still don't know how to use them so good..

i hear some tunes with choirs i think how...

so share your samples maybe or sites you know with samples or tips how to gate, fx etc..
The Keeper
My initial messing around should not be taken as law by anyone, but I'll share my thoughts on the matter.

I have a VST choir synth that I really like, made by EVM. I get pretty satisfying results with a thick chorus, but not too much delay or reverb. For some reason, a de-noiser is sometimes necessary. That's all, but I am very new to this.

I haven't found a synth that does realistic choirs. Maybe with a lot of external processing you could get it, but I think samples are probably the way to go.
ManTrance
I use a soundfont for my choir sounds.

'HS Pads and Textures I' - 'Universe Choir Only' Preset.

Sounds sh*t hot for me.

ddoh no reason users.!

find it real hard to gate a choir in reason, though once mk-s showed me an example, but still never figured it out very well..

anyone knows a good site with choir samples?

You should try this VSTi : http://bigtick.pastnotecut.org/inde...=PROD&pcode=130

it can give some decent results :)

The Waldorf Microwave Xt does some amazing chiors...but you might need to be more experienced in programming it to get good results. I have a patch I made if you have an XT. Also i'm not sure but I do think that Xphrase VSTi might be good at this since it's like a Wavestation on steroids..but i'm not sure if it has any chior samlpes in there and i haven't used it very much, but i'm sur eit's possible with it.

Limit Out!
