| TECHno addict missing yet another techno party. I dont know if the techno gods are doing this to me, but anytime theres a huge party to be at, i always get sick. Just couldnt hack it lastnight, stayed home and watched the Leafs get embaressed. Thanks Vince for the last second ticket hookup, even though i couldnt make it out there to party it up with all you guys. I hope you could sell the ticket! Now even the Digweed party is looking questionable because i wont have car insurance for this whole weekend. GRRRRRRRRRR. |

| is there any particular reason (NOT THAT IT MATTERS) why the cameras were on all three djs except picotto, they turned em off? just curious, or maybe i was just imagining it. |

finally on the net... damn internet connection at the hotel wasn't working... and now i am at some net lounge thing somewhere...
I came in late :( at about 1:30, so I missed Gaetano and Vigorito. But I've already seen them before so no biggy. Mauro was really pumping it, really similar stuff to the last time I heard him in January (the set:http://edmm.ca/modules.php?name=Dow...ia%202004.01.30).
The place was cool, too many distractions tho, lots of hot chicks considering its a techno night on a thursday evening. Sound was too loud IMO somewhat distorted, my head was hurting at th end.
All in all, really great party except the pushy security guys who just love to make a way thru the dance floor for some reason or the other.
Nice to meet you guys and girl, hope to see you tonight at System or at the Guv/koolhaus. |

A whole night of techno...it was a beautiful, and to see the 4 techno gods side by side was a memorable picture. I'll never forget techno night at distrikt. |

One word..... WOW:eyes: Mauro was just amazing, couldnt believe how on he was. The track selection and flow of the set was to good. Defenantly my fav set of the night.
As for the other DJs, Gaetano was sick, threw down some HARD STUFF. His mixing was very raw, what I mean by that is he would throw on a track fast and mix it quick, to my ear it would slip slightly but he definantly has the skills cause he would recover in less than a second.
Vigorito was also awesome, great mixing and track selection as well.
Unfortunatly only caught a little bit of Carola, but what from what I heard :D Greg gow also did a great job opening with some more minimal, chuggy techno, I really liked that. One of the best nights I have had in Toronto, nice venue to. Glad to see TA's out in full effect, Vince thank you for hooking up the tickets. Everyone else you know who you are. GREAT NIGHT EVERYONE!!!!!!:D
One last thing to Muff and Mr rogers..... sorry.... no points...LOL |
