My Review of Sasha / Digweed / JZ

Saturday after Ultra, me, Michelle, and Seth (Big Blue) all headed over to Mansion to see Sasha and Digweed. The previous night a friend of a friend hooked me up with 20 dollar tickets. So we arrived around 11 pm to see no line at all. Mansion looks like a Mansion from the inside. It has glass chandaleers, velvet carpet, fancy looking rooms, and the most amazing looking bathrooms I have ever seen at a club in my life!
Jamses Zabiela was tearing it up with his inovative breaks and progressive. He was suck a genius behind the decks. He would sample a score from a movie with vocals from another with a dark beat. He also did some amazing scratching. His style is totally different from any other dj I have ever seenn. When Sasha said James would be the next man to take his thrown he was totally correct.
At 12:30 am on the dot John stepped up to take the decks. This was my first time ever seeing S&D togethor in a club setting. John played the most amazing progressive trance. (No house at all)
Note * It was 12:30 am which meant that S&D only had 4.5 hours to take us on a journey (there set was compacted)
So Digweed totally tore Mansion a new ass hole in about 45 min. Finally the Master stepped up and the place went buzzurk! Sasha ripped my heart out and chopped it up a million times over. His mixing was near flawless (Due to Sasha being totally sober). He played at least 3 new productions (2 of his making and 1 that was a joint project with James Holden). At 5 am they turned the lights on. But Sasha didnt want to stop so he then put this sick funked out song on that rocked. Then the owner went in the booth and shut it off.

It was about one level below Pvd Summer Stage 03'
Simply stunning
I hope you guys enjoy S&D this weekend and also make sure you see James Zabiela asap!

I agree whole heartily with my good buddy john on this one. Let me just say the last time i heard Sasha spin live was the summer of 2001 in IBIZA at we love sundays at space. It was probadly the BEST set i have ever heard on one of the boomest and REDIC sound systems. that said Sasha's set at WMC was IN MINT!!! When he dropped the whitestripes remix the place went crazy.
When we got there James was throwing it down, since this experience i may be jumping on the zambila train (john's spelling hahahahaha). Digger was top notch. but for me Sasha. the place was so nice and unlike at space my ears weren't bleeding half way thru. The place was not that crowed and everyone i met was pretty chill. the only ty part was the five am closing thus not giving S and D time to really go off. Oh yeah, m,y legs were so dead from PVD- sick sick set and from Ultra-i usually can't stand sandra collins but that bitch was funky, dirty and fukin groovalicious, nice surprising set.
