have made a new track... dunno if it's 100% finished really.
there is some stuff i wanna do with it.. like give some more atmosphere to the strings etc...... but i need to fix my computer abit first.. as it is now i can't do anything without the CPU reaching the top :(
but anyway

As for the stings and what you want to do with them, try rendering them as you'd like them and then import into your sequencer. Will help CPU usage, especially if processing the string algorithm takes a lot of power. But you probably already knew that.
Really liking the piano synth, nice work there. Strings in the background work nicely. Hmm...piano gets a bit too repetitive by the breakdown at 2:45. I liked how you played a portion of the piano melody in the beginning, try doing that (not the same portion) up to the breakdown, then introduce the rest. The chords help break up the repetitiveness, but could use a bit more presence. Really liking your lead synth, ties in perfectly with the rhythm.
Only major gripe I have with it is the bassline seems to be weak/nonexistent...not sure if that was on purpose, although this track works without a bassline. Other thing is I can't really see myself enjoying this rhythmically, it's got far too much of a sad feel.
Excellent job. Disregarding the sad feel, this is good . |

might try that thing you said with playing portions of the piano to the breakdown and then play it all |

Dantheman! This is great stuff, although you already know I think that... :)
The intro piano melody is great - coupled with those strings it really sets the mood perfectly. Lead synth is cool sounding too...
Clap could have been a bit louder actually - sorry for not pointing that out earlier mate... Still a great tune though! :D

it's pretty good, i would experiment with the velocities on the piano some more to give it more of a 'played' feel.. also, the piano is such a main part of this song that it would be very wise to look into a better sounding piano in my opinion.. there is some good stereo stuff going on with delays and such, but i think you could get it to sound a whole lot more full by using more reverb.. maybe even export everything that is not drums to one wave track and export the drums to their own track and apply a single very good and well tuned reverb to the overall track (non drums) and mix that back with the drums you exported..
anyway, the music is good and i like it.. i would keep working on it... and like someone said.. if you are running out of cpu, export things to wave and reimport them and get rid of the vst's and effects they were using.
good luck,

Pretty good track you got there :). The piano realy does it for me, and the track itself is build very well. However, the main synth is too much " 3xosc " style, which is a bad thing in my opinion, try to add another leading synth maybe it'll sound better, or change it i dont know, just a thought :).
Good work.
