If Tiesto takes it a third year I will have totally lost hope in this genre.

Really haven't heard enough sets this year to make any sort of judgment.

I'm starting to see a pattern on this site with a lot of people. A dj is great until he gets a bit of a fanbase, or in some cases, until Americans start liking him, then all I hear is oh he sucks, he is , he's not trance even though he claims he is......wtf is everyones problem??
Im waiting for some "current" favorites to get more popular....then the flaming will begin.
It's ing rediculous.

Erm... "a bit of a fanbase"? Surely you see what kind of an understatement that is in this matter? And come on, use some common sense here. The fact that they get a huge fanbase is not the reason for all the flaming, it's the fact that these rather huge fanbases make the DJs in question lazy, halfhearted and greedy, and in turn makes them repeatedly deliver halfassed performances, since they know they will be worshipped by their loyal fan brigade regardless of how crap they perform.

I agree in certain cases, which is one reason I'm no longer a fan of oakenfold, but not with every dj who becomes popular. I personally haven't seen this happen with all of them.
