fruity: automating cutoff with more than one synth

I have 3 layers of pro53 running some pads, and I want to be able to automate their cutoff within one window, is this possible using fruity? I don't want to have to automate one, then copy/paste on to the other channel's cutoff every time (its a hassle if I want to make little changes).

thanks.

not sure what you mean, but i guess that you automate the cutoff on pro53 on all of them... but why don't you just put a Fruity Filter on the FX channel and automate the cutoff from the there.. that way it will change on all of them
christofa
great idea. I'll try that

cheers!

set the port on all pro-53s to a certain number, then modulate the filter with a midi out set on the same port to do it all at once :)

even better. :)

thanks

yeah, just group them all to one channel and use the one filter.

or u could do it the hard way and use the x-y controller and link all the filter cutoffs of the pro 53s to that and automate the x-y controller after that.

There is an easy way to do this. Though depending on the version of your Fruity.
There is this dashboard thingy.

Just insert a wheel to the dashboard and then link from each midiout channels filter cutoff wheel (you need to disable the remove conflicts to get this work) to that wheel on dashboard and automate it.

Was that confusing enuff.
:) :) :)

EDIT:
hope this pic helps you (it is pretty big, so I just put a link to it)..

or just link all three cut knobs to your midi controller and record the automation to a pattern, it will write the automation for all three automatically.

Using dashboard is the best idea if you want to use a more precise automation, or the built in lfo (you guys seen this in the events editor?) rather than using your midi controller.

Whenever I want multiple knobs linked to just one midi controller, all I do is link the first one, then when linking the second and so forth ones, before moving the knob so fruity 'realizes' the controller, just UN-check "automatically remove conflicts" or whatnot.... That lets a bunch go to the same controller.

thanks Thunder5 for the screen shots... I went with the dashboard idea.
