DIVX playback issues

I have dld almost every codec/prog/etc i can as my vids either show no picture, or only in black and white. there was a point in time where everything worked properly and now everything has gone to hell.
any ideas?
ive checked-
xvid, bsplayer, normal divx, winMP...
the only thing i wonder about is if media player 9.x is ing things up...help| |

| look for "vlc player". It doesn't need codecs, and you don't have to install it either |

i got Gspot to check codec issues, and thusly have RGB, but playback is too slow in BS| |

VTS worked better than a charm, but im still dealing with B/W video for some reason|
