Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia!) used to be a big rave-goer according to an interview, and she likes D&B a lot I think! :) Don't confirm me on that but I saw her say that on the Craig Killborn show and in some interviews.

how about we not turn this into a "lets flame tiesto" thread. i think we have enough of those already...

Btw, what genre is Moby considered to be in anyways? Anyone who says trance will get laughed at.

Oh, HUGE Moby fan here... Moby's TOO versatile... he's covered everything from punk rock to ambient to minimal techno-ISH stuff to housey vocal house to classic rave staples to... well, trance too. "Shining" is definitely part trance, with the shimmering hypnotics of the piano echoes. In the end, it's just Moby music. Kinda like Prodigy... you can say they're rocktronica, part breaks mixed with punk, whatever... at the end of the day they are unique. And that's gr00vy with me.

none of those are songs, they're artist names
none of them produce trance :stongue:
and Danny Tenaglia doesn't make trance either
it's a buzz word, and Shirley Manson benig a hardcore rocker, I'm pretty sure she doesn't like it now
especially not ASOT ;)

Ok if Sasha ans Sander Kleinenberg isnt trance then what are they ?
I thought Sasha producing progressive wich is a genre of trance , also Sander Kleinenberg produces progressive too. Also hybrid got some trance songs too

There is at least 6 different type of trance out there

Also if Shirley Manson doesnt like trance then why did she said she like it??

Plus Tommy Lee is a hardcore rocker but he is a huge fan of hybrid and spun drum n bass in Miami

You would be surprised how many rock artist are into electronic music. All my friends knows the members of Nine inch nails and mushroom heads and they all are into electronic music

I always knew Andre 3000 had the style of a kandy kid...:p

Well there's this local band that lives next door, they're considered celebs here. And I know they love EDM because it's all they hear :haha: :stongue:

They're just progressive mkay. Sometimes they may produce a melodic progressive house track, or the odd progressive trance track, but they are PROGRESSIVE Producers not trance. Progressive can be a sub genre of anything. It's like saying oh progressive is a sub genre of techno/house/breaks so Sander and Sasha are techno/house and breaks producers.

Instead of writing I should of just laughed, coz this is off topic, and I expect an argument.

He didn't work together with Tomcraft...Tomcraft just used a sample of Pulp Fiction in his track...ehmm...i think it was something like 25/7 or so. However the track was called like the Psalm of the Bible Samuel tells one of his victims before he kills him in the movie. ("...and you'll know that i am the lord!")

P. Diddy (aka Puff Daddy) was at Paul van Dyk's show at Space on 11/22/03. He hung out with PvD in the DJ booth for the majority of PvD's 4 hour set. Then P. Diddy turned up at Ultra on 3/6/04 and was standing on the stage (out of view to most people) while Tiesto was spinning. I have pics where you can see him in the background with his arms raised when Tiesto spun Silence. He then came out front when Oakie went on. Apparently Puffy is taking a stab at trying to remix but it basically sounds like techno...not too impressive. It was definitely strange seeing him at two "trance" shows.
