I haven't been to Kool Haus much but last time I saw Digweed there a year and a half ago, the set up was the other way around with the DJ on the stage where the back stage was last night. Was the phazon setup switched around? cause I could still see the large columns of speakers hanging in the "back" last night almost like the setup was backwards. Hence the overkill of bass because of the used-to-be rear subs which were facing us (if we faced the DJ). However, the volume was quite loud! Nevertheless, great sets by Luke Fair and Digweed!!! :wtf: |

I had a great night as usual, and I'm going to post in both threads because I was going back and forth so often!
It was great meeting so many new faces! I usually just dance like a maniac, but for some reason this night I was very chatty! The music was great, but for me it wasn't the main focus of the evening/morning... the people were. I think that the people who found it boring have to re-evaluate their situation/attitude... I firmly believe that the energy you BRING will decide how good your night is!
Greets to all the "Party-Children" (you know who you are) and to some of the new follks I met. StereoPrincess and her dude, Tw1tch, Maddy, Dallasstar, Andielips, John and Devon, and brother Josh, Cono_sur (this guy is great, always has a smile on his face!), Ahlamalek, Richy (24_7), Eso, InfinityHigh, and Sally (your hugs kept me going!), Endlesswave, RJ, and of course our Trance-ambassadors, Emery and John. Thanks to all of you for making this a memorable night, and also greets to anyone I forgot!
Keep the beat going everyone! See you all at Lawler!

| First time at koolhaus and first time seeing diggers, neither disappointed. Setup was great and it wasn't too packed so you could walk around and actually had some room to dance. Luke did a good job opening up but agree that he should have fed more off digweed when he came back on instead of laying back. Digweed was great and kept me on my feet for hours. Good company, good times. And this was just a warm-up for lawler next week.:D |

Here's why I loved prog even more this night: Driving across to Guv past Redpath Sugar the first thing we saw was a MASSIVE line snaking all the way around the building. So we park and hope for the best knowing we are atleast on reduced list (always, thanks to Ez). Walking past the countless cold and anxious Guv people we soon realized that our reduced line was all of 2 people and we were in within minutes of pulling up!!!!! :D :D :D
Now stoked at our good fortune, we were quite ready to hear some great tunes and worship the Prog godfather. We entered KH with Fir3start3r, StereoPrincess with Ray in tow, and Angelgirl aka Heidi aka my half wich is better :)....and soon ran into the prog TA crew. Getting settled in during Luke's set I was happy to see Eso, Malek, Disko-Kandi, meeting DRGoodvibe and seeing John proudly touring around showing everyone the Guv flyer with the TA lineup in Charlie's.
Tunes: Luke Fair starting things decently playing tons of ultra new tunes (I don't think I saw him use one pressed bit of vinyl) and although it was a bit laidback it was definitly a good listen. Then Diggers came on and the slow ascension to heaven began. As always, John takes his time slowly ratcheting up the energy at an almost unnoticable pace until two hours in and everything is going off. He alwys does this so the slow openning was expected by me. Wow, I hadn't heard Digweed play this hard in ages and techy stuff too. My Fav's of the night that I could ID were:
Gabriel & Dresden - Serendipity
Ben Camp - Timewreck (Mara Broken Elbow remix)
Expressed Soul - I'm Waiting (Luke Fair remix)
Sadly a sore leg and hangover from a party the night before forced me to pack it in around 4:30am but although I was exhausted I had a great time.
Again, thanks John for guestlist and beginning-of-night VIP party at System.
p.s. - Also great to see Rich and Desidel aka Emz who came over from Guv halfway through......too many great people and never enough time :( ;)
