Klinsmann, Maradona & Cantona.
Any other older players, I don't know. I'm too young to see them play on the TV. |

Landon Donovan
DaMarcus Beasley
---I absolutely love the way these guys play, especially Donovan. I wish I had the WC2002 match against Germany on tape so I could watch Donovan school the entire German team, with the exception of Oliver Kahn who had the feckin' game of his life. Still bitter about that game, US got screwed by handball no-call. Anyways, I think Donovan and Beasley are going to lead the US team to some good results in 2006 World Cup.
Thierry Henry
---He's so damn good. I think right now he's hands-down the best player in the world. I've been a huge fan since the day I saw him flip the ball up with his foot, juggle it on his knee, and then bicycle kick it to a mate for a goal, all with a guy on his back. Most amazing play I can think of. |

- Roberto Baggio
One of the best playmakers ever IMHO. Even now at 37(or whatever), he can still pull moves that will make Zidane jealous. Not to mention that he almost single-handedly pulled Italy to Finals in WC 94. I'm pretty sure that if he was in starting line-up in WC98, Italy would've gone to the finals.
- Ronaldo. The early years.
Man, he was absolutely incredible. His speed. Damn it ! It was a pleasure watching him humiliate numerous defenders around him. I guess he can still do it, but not as often. Having said that, I think he is a more effective player now than he was 6 years ago. |

im still pissed that arigo sacchi (cant spell his name) ruined his carrer when he moved to milan....he would have gone on to have done so much more if his season wasnt ruined by spending it on the bench.

definately better now than then....he was too easy to "take out" then. he is got much more strength now. unfortunately he is still riddled with injury but having said that...top scorer in spain....not been getting consistant games....he is good! |

Hong Myung Bo - Veteran South Korean defender who kept the Korean team together through the hard times of 90s and his leadership paid off last World Cup when Korean got 4th place. Not bad for a team who never won a WC game before.
Very underrated.
Brad Friedel - I was pretty damn amazed at his WC showing. Some of the saves he made were quite unreal. Hopefully he'll be able to keep a good form.
Oliver Kahn - Not having the best of a season, but this guy is some sort of demi god. (Still bitter about saves he made against SK in WC) :D |
