The Holden Situation...

Yeah. So Holden only spun for 2 hours and 15 minutes last night @ Discoteque. I arrived at 5, paid $30 to get in, met up with Tom and Lisa, and only heard him until 7:15 when some tribal house DJ took over. Apparently the majority of the crowd wasn't too pleased with the prog Holden was playing, so the resident took over. And since no one was there to take care of him, I took it upon myself to get Holden some breakfast and drop him off at his hotel.
Holden couldn't believe that they paid him all that money just to open for some no name grandfather (I'm paraphrasing a bit :p). But truth be told: having Holden playing @ a tribal house party with Erick Morillo as a resident didn't really fortell a great night.
He's been jipped out of a good gig in NYC for the second straight time. And this guy is one of the best producers in the game today. Hopefully Bullitt Bookings gets him a better gig next time he comes around (which should be June)...
But hey, at least we had a bite to eat with him afterwards and talk music. That should count for something :)... |

| That's ing idiotic. The morons at the club should've known Holden would be spinning before they came, so they'd make the decision not to go. |

Holden was spinning a really good set. Everyone kept calling it a good warm up, so I have no clue what he had in store for us. Too bad they shut him off early.
Breakfast with Holden afterwards was definetly a memoriable experience. Sucks for all you who missed out :p |

I first went to Cox with the plan to go to see holden but I was feeling more and more sick that around 2 or so I just left; went to nap in my car a little and start the drive back home.
If only I hadn't been sick as can be :( |

fr0st: yes sir. you have to appreciate the explosiveness of this Holden situation
trance643: I've been keeping in touch with him ever since he first spun in Philly last year.
Tranz: Yes. It was pretty much packed. But out of the people to see Holden, there were probably 4 of us in that whole club. Lot's of people cancelled as well because they can't hang... |
