Michal Bures aka DJ Blue is currently trying to break the world record in DJing. By clicking on the link below you can listen live to his attempt from the Czech Republic.
His attempt started on Thursday March 11th 2004, in a small club called Lubina. The current official world record in the Guinness Book Of Records is 74 hours of continuous mixing.
Recently, the record for the longest DJ set in the world was unofficially broken by a Malaysian. DJ Maverick, completed 79 hours and five minutes of continuous mixing on Dec 29th 2003, but his claim as world record holder was not recognised by officials.
DJmag wishes DJ Blue all the best of luck. |

Perhaps rather than trying to mix for a continuous 80 hours, a DJ might try and make an extended set which you can actually listen to without getting bored, of course minus the trainwrecks ;)

| Could you just play the same songs over and over again? And do the mixes have to be good? There have to be some guidelines, I would think. Because to do 81 hours you could just mix all the records you have then start back up from the beginning. |

I doubt so. If u've watched the live webcam stream earlier, he spinned in a club (i believe it's a small one as what written by djmag) and there's crates of records behind :)
I did watch and also heard the last 2 hours, he's quite good, or even good imo ;) |

| I believe you're allowed a 15 minute break every 2 hours for stuff like bathrooms/nourishment, etc... |
