Have a listen to my new track. Am about to finish it. I think production-quality has improved a lot, so if u could point where I could improve more I'd be glad (or just flame me for the things that aren't right ;) )!

Right-click beneath and save as..
Neotune - Pandemonium

128kbps, 6:05 mins.

A pandemonium is some hide-out for demons and stuff, or the scary sounds coming from it. The melody is slightly too happy for it, but I liked the title :D

As been said, feedback highly appreciated!

Cheers y'all!

Track is ok. But not very special. The Synths are a bit (too) raw. I also miss a qlimax, it's.. I don't know, it doesn't sounds very full. And I like the little effects.. :) ;)
Jay M
Tnx for listening. It might not be special, but it isn't usual either. Climaxes are there (can't miss them actually), so you might want to listen carefully once more ;)

Anybody else who'd like to share his thoughts about this one?

nice fx work.

cool base, seems busy track so far

very weird/scary synths + chords.

break could be better, the lead is very weird not really liking it(taste.)

the synth needs better EQing imo, less mid more high.

nope not the useuall stuff

I liked the buildup and melody. Shows much potential...

The section before bassline comes in in mainpart is a little bit  ;) Perhaps there are other ways like drum staccatos or something to introduce the mainpart.

Try some strings or choirs to get a bit more variation and power into the track.

I often use 2 basslines, one on the level you have and another one just an octave deeper to also cover deep frequencies.

Anyway, I like to listen to it. :)

Good production quality.

The melody didn't seem to fit in with intro though, it reminds me of the melody from 'liquid dance - first time (sascha van holt remix)', which definitely doesn't sound like pandemonium

I think the song itself needs a bit more work, sound quality is pretty good tho.

Yeah, I know there is a qlimax, but it didn't sound like that. Sounds a but empty.. sorry

Thnx a lot guys for listening. Indeed the break needs some more attention. The idea was to fade out some parts and then a smashing continuation, which actually worked in a way, but it doesn't sound 100% ...logical.

The lead is a very odd one, indeed. Actually it's so ugly, I began to like it. :haha: And about eq-ing the lead.. yeah i could give it some less mid and more highs but i have to watch out for the higher screaming synth, it might be absorbed. It can be tough to master and EQ this synth violence, doing my best :)

Anybody else got some feedback?

Cheers

interestin song dude.. i gotta say, its somethin different from the usual. great structure and fxs, i loved the break and the way u use the melody. as odd as the song is, its fantastic. everythin just werks together..

I like the FX mate.

Dude this is sweet - nice and dark vibe with beaut high stuff going on.

Impressed again by the bass work - this is such an improvement man!

Nice original fx use at 2:51

Don't think this chord sequence suits the build you've put in tho. Main synth sounds a bit dry - like it needs a bit more top/air on it or something.

Not too impressed with the lead sound which is a shame cos it lets it down I feel. Overall spot on though, these are minor niggles which are overrepresented by the amount of words I've used.

Nice one Jay, I like the way you're trying to push the original in there, it shows.

:)

DJPrototypeX and BassAngel, thanx very much for reviewing. Kind of you to be that positive about it ;)

Glad you like my FX, seems one of my stronger points. The lead is an odd one indeed. If i can manage myself to improve this track I will give it more highs and I'll let you know what becomes of it :D

I wandered, BassAngel, what you ment by this:

I mean.. what original..? Did you receive my PM by the way?

Cheers to you guys!

What I mean is that you're always experimenting with chord sequences and different sounds. We all are I know, but I just feel that consistently one of your strengths is this. Firestorm had a real element of uniqueness to it - something that I really listen for in a track when I'm not bogged down with production blues.

It's hard to define really, it's your whole style that to me sounds different. In this tune for example, at 1:26 when that scary noise comes in, I don't know what to expect next which is what keeps my attention. We've all heard lots of tunes and often we know what's coming. This seems to just keep my interest. That "ah-ah" drop on the end of your fourth bar is amazing - really fits with the horror theme and is nice - again not typical.

You got to do something about that main synth though man, it just lets the tune down.

Looks like I'm not the only one to think so man (regarding originality I mean):

Yeah, I got your PM but wanted to reply properly. Wasn't being ignorant or anything, at least, not on purpose! ;) Just got some new monitors and been working some stuff out. Check the ol' inbox now.

Keep it going Jay, you got talent.
