that's because they showed a naked chick... obviously everyone stayed in order to see more

what is it with hollywood, violence, and sex? so having someone stick a rod through someone else's head is ok, but naked people are not? blah.

i just got back from watching it.. i wasnt wowed or disappointed really.. by recent horror movie standards this was a great horror flick... good make up, and quite genuinly scary, in a atmospheric/visual sense, rather than 'quite bit, then bam, sumthing jumps out and lots of noise' like EVERY horror movie of late. if a director has to rely on using sound [and pathetically predictable silent build ups] to make a movie scary, then theyre in the wrong business. DotD wasnt like this, and i was rather happy to find this.

not the best movie ever made, but a suprisingly ok flick to watch IF your a horror movie fan and need your fix of actual visual terror. 28 days later repackaged?.. yeah probably.. but maybe this is the 'dawn' of a new era in horror flicks possibly getting back to how they used to be.. lets make it happen :)

Being a fan of Romero's original trilogy, I must say I came away pretty impressed. I was expecting A LOT worse. I was disappointed in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake and I had expectations that this remake was going to be real bad... but it wasn't. I liked it that they kept it lighthearted in places, such as shooting celebrity lookalikes and playing chess across rooftops.

One of the best parts... Ving Rhames blowing a zombie's head to pieces with a shotgun. And that chick getting a chainsaw through her chest/breasts... I will be watching these scenes in slo mo on dvd when it comes out. What can I say? I'm a gorehound!!! :D

Too bad they didn't have someone being ripped in half, legs carried away, and intestines being chewed on... like in the original.

And about the ending... maybe a remake of Day of the Dead??? If done, it better be as good as this one.

I just saw it and i found more humor in it than horror. Overall i though it was ok.

crazy scenes especially when they were in their modified trucks and he pops up one of those gas tanks, shoots it, and KABOOM, zombies flying and on fire

another good scene was when they went to get the amuniation and save that girl from that andy dude, then in the sewers all those zombies and , exciting and chilling

point is, great movie, alot of gore, violence, and humour

go see it!

Naw....one remake is enough, I think.

It looks more like an action film than the original Dawn, and I'm not expecting it to be as good. Dawn and Day of the Dead are two of my favourite ever films, though, so...

Actually, they already remade Night of the Living Dead.

Here's the original : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063350/
Here's the remake : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100258/

I don't know what some of you guys are talking about, this was such a great movie! Scary as hell, I was biting my nails the whole time. I'm a big fan of the Zombie movie genre so maybe that's why.. This movie was exactly what Resident Evil SHOULD HAVE been. The makers of Resident Evil 2 are probably ting in their pants because it's going to be stupid and cheesy like the first one was.

I loved it and I'd recommend it to anyone. I saw it during the day, and I debated on going to see it a second time with some friends that night.

Just got back from seeing it, and I gotta say...28 Days Later is much better. Neither of the movies were "scary", I have yet to be scared at a movie. 28 Days Later had better music, cinematography, and overall a better sense that the entire world has gone to hell (even though that wasn't the case).;)

Movie was too simplistic for my liking, they didn't explain anything. I came out of the movie feeling as if my intelligence were insulted.
