im running cubase 2.0 sx, and i created a bass line with vanguard, and on another midi channel im trying to add another vanguard but a pad, now when i try to do this, one of the vanguards always cuts off, just stops playing any sound, and when i play the volume meter still shows that its playing, what could be the problem ? the only way to fix this is to reload the VST |

If all else fails, just render each element and then import the audio into Cubase. Not sure about the problem though...I can think of two things, but don't know if they're right or not.
1) Your computer might not be able to handle those multiple instances of the softsynth.
2) The VSTi might not be fully able to handle multiple instances of itself.
I've noticed that in Absynth if I create another copy as a separate VSTi and I change the patch bank, the patches for all the other instances remain on the same patch number, but play the patch corresponding to the new instance. I suspect this is either because of the way Absynth was designed...you make a global setting in the engine and all engine controllers will feel the impact, so to speak. Although it might also be something with the way Cubse was programmed...not really creating entirely new instances of the VSTi, but merely copies of the original (Kinda how tabulated browsing works, if that helps). |

I'm suffering exactly the same problem! I think it's a bug in Vanguard. I hope it will be fixed... |

I had the same problem too but with fruity loops...
Regardless, I managed to fix it.
I basically deleted the channel of the VST (rememberinrg to save all the settings as a preset file) not playing properly. Then I added the same VST again and reloaded the preset file it seemed to work for me... If all else fails, try to just export it to wav as Tranc3 said. |
