AN1X rules, you'll love it! I have one and plenty of other folks have it here as well. In terms of "plugging it in", you mean use it as a "MIDI controller"? If so, then the answer is "yes". On top of everything, it also has aftertouch (unlike many cheap midi controllers that don't) and it is just a killer synth.

Granted, it is not as advanced as some other VA's and only has 128 patches, on the bright side you got a built-in step sequencer and killer arpegiator with 30 patterns. Plus on top of everything you got very sweet filters, awesome pads and mods galore. I fell in love with this synth since i got it, and I already own bunch of "higher grade" gear, like JP8080, JD800, Access Virus KC, SNII, and my newest addition - Alesis A6 Andromeda :D

AN1X has its sweet place in my heart. I love it. I'm sure you'll too. Enjoy.

But Yamaha CS6X come with a PLG board that's AN1X board (PLG 150-AN). Is it worth it to get it?

I have the plg150 board, I only use cs6 for the board, since the cs6 don't really have too many trance sounds.. And I recomend a Cosmic X Soundset for Yamaha CS6x & AN1x Board from vengeance-music.de.. The board is really cool..

Haha finally you reply me thru here when I PM ya. hehe. THanks. I shall get it soon! Anyway, how much did you get it? Beside AN1X board, wat other PLG board you recommend as I will have one more slot free in my CS6X or is it more then enuff?:p

there is the board based on the dx200 too I guess.. FM sounds all the way, great for el pianos and efx.

Anyway, an1x itself has fm implementation and you can get some wicked stuff out of it. Still one of my favourite synths.

@ Synepmeh I wouldn't call the jp8000 higher graded than the an1x.
It's different that's all, in terms of polyphony and synthesis power they are pretty much the same.
