Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to rip a mixed Cd as one track?
I want to transfer the tracks to my zen but when i transfer the seperate tracks there is a gap between the songs.
If I can rip the Cd as 1 whole mp3 i wont have this problem!!! OR is there a way to do it differently???
Can anyone help me out???
Appreciate it...

google for EAC (exact audio copy) and LAME (an mp3 encoder).
Unzip both of them, run EAC which will run your through a wizard. Change any settings you would like and then highlight all the tracks you want, do Action > copy range and it will rip the lot for you, and providing you got LAME it will encode them for you as well.
Took me 20 minutes per CD to rip and encode, and my computer is slow. |

Actually, the problem should be easily corrected by going in to your burning software settings and making sure you select the setting called "disk-at-once" or something similar to that ( I use Roxio EZ CD Creator but they all use this function ). That tells your CD-RW device to burn the songs with no spaces. Some of the more versatile software packages let you determine the length of the space in seconds.
It may be called "write-at-once" on your prog.
edit: just had another idea. Another program I have that's great for this is AtomicMp3. It'll let you sort tunes, and mix 'em live allowing you to beatmatch and crossfade automatically or by yourself...and it will record into one long wav file or multiple wav files (whichever you choose). Very fun software...free demo available too (cuts out at 20 minutes I think but "someone" mentioned there might be a hack available for it...who knows...I certainly dont do that kinda thing...:nervous: :happy2: ) |

give the tracks names with like 01 02 03 etc, putt them in a zip file WITHOUT compression and rename the zip file to .mp3 |
